With everything that's happened to DBSK last year, fans were greeted in 2010 by rampant rumors of the group's disbandment.

This morning, Sports Nippon Japan apparently reported that DBSK had officially disbanded, saying that "South Korea’s TVXQ breaks up at its peak of popularity." The split was apparently due to problems within the band caused by the lawsuit Jaejoong, Yoochun and Junsu filed.

The news source even went as far as saying that "BREAK OUT!" would the be group's final single and that their upcoming greatest hits collection would be their last album. Several other news articles about this followed.

The problem with the article was that there was no mention of an official statement made by SM, Avex or DBSK themselves and although fans were thrown into disarray because of the rumor, it remained a rumor.

A few hours later SM released a statement saying “Those articles are groundless.” and that “There is no offical disbanding in decision.” But another source from SM said that, “There’s no information about future schedule determined, indeed.”

Later in the day, Herald News reported that other news sources apparently announced that DBSK were to have final concerts in Japan and Korea come June but that the three members who filed lawsuits nullified the news.

“We even just knew about this good bye concert (from the news).” and, “There’s nothing like that being decided right now and here both side have decided to continue the negotiation.”
